Soussons Down
This cute little route is very scenic. The start point is about one hundred metres North East of the Warren House Inn which is the highest pub in Devon and reputedly the second highest in England.
From here the trail heads east, down hill, past a couple of stone circles before heading along the two moors, way into Soussons Down Forest. Cycle for just over 3.5k through the forest on well used fire roads before passing Soussons Farm.
Soon after passing Soussons Farm the route takes you past the ancient ruins of the Medieval Hamlet of Challacombe. This ancient farm has archaeological features that date back to the Bronze Age.
A little further down the bridle path, the route takes you past Headland Warren Farm, where the route turns due west heading up hill past Headland Warren on the right. The short stony descent takes you near Birch Tor and past a disused Tin Mine.
At the bottom of the hill the route rejoins the two moors way and climbs back up to the starting car park.
